Il Forno - 'The Oven'
Il Forno, meaning 'the oven', was established in 1992 in the heart of the then quaint, untouched beach village that was Palm Cove. Over the years, Palm Cove has grown into the internationally sought after holiday destination that it is today. Il Forno, however, has strived to maintain its original charm and traditional authenticity.
There are many people who have contributed to making Il Forno what it is today. Our culinary and hospitality passion and experience has been part of our family background for generations and it continues to be passed on today.
At Il Forno we specialise in creating an authentic Italian atmosphere; where food, music and hospitality work in perfect harmony. Il Forno provides live entertainment many nights, weekly food specials and the majority of our staff are multilingual, so our guests can feel right at home.
Our pizzas are our pride and passion. They are made using the freshest and finest of local and imported ingredients - with the most important being our hand kneaded dough.
Our restaurant has a loyal local following, but caters predominantly to visitors of the region. We hope to see you soon, to have you enjoy our food, and to welcome you to our ever extending family!

As the Il Forno venture continues to grow we are looking to start a new pizza adventure in South America. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a motivated family who have a similar passion for pizza and people as we do and would like a change of lifestyle in the tropics for a few years. We are offering the lease of this very successful, beautifully positioned and established pizzeria for a minimum of 2 years.
